I (Dawn) retired in December of 2021.  Dan retired on March 31, 2023.  I worked in the Federal government for ~32 years.  Dan retired from the US Marine Corps after 27 years and has worked in the federal government since then, ~ 18 years.  We have two children, Lucas, and Megann.  Lucas is married to Jessica and they have two daughters, Lilian, and Aria.  We are the chosen grandparents to Lacey, and Joshua.  To round out the family we have one dog, Lucy, a terrier mix whom we rescued and is ~ 14 years old.

We have always dreamed of traveling all over the world.  As a military family we moved around a lot, but only in the United States.  So far, Dan and I have traveled to; Scotland, Argentina, France, Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Africa.  We started traveling in 2009.

Dan was stationed at Holy Loch, Scotland early in his military career and we always wanted to go there.  We spent a couple weeks there.  It was beautiful.

My daughter took a year of classes in Buenos Aires in her graduate studies from the University of Washington in Seattle.  This prompted her to join the Peace Corp in South America.  I think she has always wanted to travel since a trip to France and Spain that she took when she was in middle school.  She has lived and worked in Central, South America and Africa.  Our son Lucas has also traveled all over the world.  He was stationed in Okinawa for four years and has been TDY to many places (he could never talk about) during his Air Force career that he recently retired from.

We treated ourselves vacations to France and Italy two different years at Christmas.  I would love to go back to both countries in the Spring.  We are starting some serious extended travel on July 12 to the United Kingdom and will post updates whenever possible.
